Well, after finishing
24: Declassified - Veto Power, I pretty much have a decent list of 24's Commanders in Chief:
- Harold Barnes: 1998 - 2002
- David Palmer: 2002 - 2006 (Jim Prescott "President" for a few hours in 2003)
- John Keeler: 2006 - 2007
- Charles Logan: 2007 - Present (Day V to take place around 2009)
Now OHG takes place BEFORE 9/11, while Veto Power takes place 6 months later, post 9/11. In VP, it makes sense that Barnes is reaching the end of his first term, because he's already trying to find supporters and he's worrying that a "Senator Palmer is rising in the Polls."
Now, devoted fans will remember that Palmer's main opponent in Day I was Governor Hodges, giving the indication that the previous President chose or couldn't run. However, Hodges was Palmer's opponent in the PRIMARIES, the weeding-out elections that take place about 6 months before the General Election.
Now Jack Bauer's timeline has to be computed into this, but I believe it is pretty accurate.
