Probably the final post on this Blog, but nonetheless, yesterday (or two days ago depending where your from) was 24 star Kiefer Sutherland's Birthday. He turns 39. If you don't know who he plays, you should be slapped of course!

Julian Sands will play "Vladmir Bierko," a billionaire bad guy.
Peter Weller will play "Christopher Henderson," the man who first recruited Jack in Counter-Terrorism
Jobeth Williams will play his Wife, "Miriam Henderson."

You can thank the 24 HQ for this Intel, in this case, "Nina Myers."

Well, after finishing 24: Declassified - Veto Power, I pretty much have a decent list of 24's Commanders in Chief:

Harold Barnes: 1998 - 2002
David Palmer: 2002 - 2006 (Jim Prescott "President" for a few hours in 2003)
John Keeler: 2006 - 2007
Charles Logan: 2007 - Present (Day V to take place around 2009)

Now OHG takes place BEFORE 9/11, while Veto Power takes place 6 months later, post 9/11. In VP, it makes sense that Barnes is reaching the end of his first term, because he's already trying to find supporters and he's worrying that a "Senator Palmer is rising in the Polls."

Now, devoted fans will remember that Palmer's main opponent in Day I was Governor Hodges, giving the indication that the previous President chose or couldn't run. However, Hodges was Palmer's opponent in the PRIMARIES, the weeding-out elections that take place about 6 months before the General Election.

Now Jack Bauer's timeline has to be computed into this, but I believe it is pretty accurate.

A life/site update

Hey all.
I've been pretty busy these last few months, but www.mary-lynn-rajskub.com is coming along, I keep designing the layout and changing my mind, typical. All I know is that the site is gonna be in black and white (except for the gallery obviously) and thats about it.

My quest to meet Mary Lynn is going to be a longer one now. I am moving to Portland in March next year, and I will be living with my wife. Yup, I'm getting married, and so perhaps the address of this blog is a tad inappropriate now, but to hell with it!

Anyways, thats a little update, and I shall continue to work!

We got a picture of the box Art!!

Not to mention that there are also making a book Series based on the show called 24: Declassified!

The first comes out next Tuesday, known as Operation Hell Gate. November will show the release of Veto Power, followed by January's Trojan Horse. After that, we'll see Cat's Claw . . . no word on THAT release. These books I believe should be somewhat canon like all the other Inbetweenquels, but beware of POSSIBLE contradictories that we saw in the Subcommittee book (Jack's six men's name . . . No "Saunders" . . . Chappelle having Children, but no brother)

They are written so far by Marc Cerasini & John Whitman . . . but new authors could be added.

I am also unsure as to WHERE they take place in the series history. If anyone knows, let me know!

Word has come in about the Day IV DVD for all Region I fans! Apparently this season is LOADED - I repeat - LOADED with Extras. We even have a music video this time!

The complete list includes 12 commentaries, 6 more than usual, 34 Deleted Scenes, 3 Featurettes, the Day V Prequel, the Day V Trailer, The Director's Cut of the Day IV Promo, and the entire Mobile series of "24-Conspiracy." Not to mention the Music Video dubbed, "The Longest Day."

Luckily the MLR is in the commentaries, who is the ONLY returning character to have one. The actors who played Dina & Navi have one too, as well as Curtis. Oh don't forget Audrey's Commentary! Other Commentators are basically Directors and Writers, and even Sean Callery, the brilliant Music Man of 24!

No picture of the set yet, but there should be one soon, as its that time of year!

Well it's official: Palmer, Michelle, and Novik will at least be in the first episode of Day V.

This only lacks Agent Aaron Pierce to complete the 24 Tetramvirate: the only four characters to be in every season so far. (Jack, Tony, Palmer, and still remaining, Aaron.)

Also, the First Lady's Name shall be Martha Logan, while Jack's new interest will be called Diane with her son Derek.

Oh yeah, Audrey's returning. Oy, in my opinion, really, even though she ended Day IV with quite a few remarkable performances.

Finally, Day V begins 1/8/2005/Sunday, with a 2 Hour Premire, followed by two more hours the following Monday.

Mary Lynn Rajskub AKA My dream girl starred in an episode of Gilmore Girls! She plays Kirk's girlfriend in his independant film (which is all kinds of funny btw).

I love little surprises like that. I will try and put up some screenshots.

24 News: Season 5 Update.

Here is what we know about Season 5:

It will start with the explosion of a building, and a cast member may be brought back to die in the explosion.
Jack will be living about 110 miles outside of LA, and will be in a relationship with a new character (Craig Huxley)'s mother.
Craig doesn't like Jack.
2 Years are said to have passed since Season 4.
Charles Logan is still President.

According to the 24 HQ, FKA The Mountain Lion, Jon Cassar has been ranting that we may FINALLY see a 24 film sometime in the future: Possibly 2 years from now.

In the article from Dark Horizons (Here's the URL: http://www.darkhorizons.com/news05/050617i.php), Cassar tells us its in the Writing Phase, and that we may not see the 24 Clock until necessary.

Finally, he won't tell us what it could be about, since it may involve Day VI; that, and they still have to write it, so they couldn't tell us even if they wanted too!

Personally, a movie finale would be awsome (Especially if we are lucky enough to get a Day VII: A whole week!), and I hope its success could bring some Prequels, such as Operation Nightfall and Operation Proteus!

According to my fabulous sources from the Archive, Charles Logan will STILL be President in Day V.

Also, Day V will take place apporximately two years after Day IV, placing us in the year 2009, approximately.

Finally, Tony & Michelle kept their word and left CTU, and for right now, we only know that Tony will return to Day V, but Michelle has a good chance as well.

For those confused on the times: Here's a list:

Day I: 2002
Day II: 2003 (+1 1/2 Years after Day I)
Day III: 2006 (+ 3 Years after Day II)
Day IV: 2007 (+ 1 1/2 Years after Day III)
Day V: 2009 (+ 2 Years after Day IV)

The third post in one night I know, but guess what? Day IV will come out on DVD December 6th 2005 for the United States!

Here's the 24 Schedule as of Now:

June - 24: Midnight Sun is released

July - Main Production Begins for Day V

August - UK Day IV DVD is released

Fall - 24: The Game is releasedd

December 6 - Day IV (US) is released on DVD

January 2006 - Day V Begins!

Sometime 2006 - MandysMan (AKA Thezez, Michael Coleman, Prophet, whatever) gives us his status report on meeting MLR . . .

What a finale.
Why oh why did Fox order 2 more seasons when they could let it end like that? It's been a shit season, but the finale was right up there with Chappelles execution and the Season 3 finale as the best episode ever.

HOWEVER. Who decided that there should be a ticking clock at the end?!? Surely the death of the person known as Jack Bauer deserves a silent clock! There hasn't been one all season.

You have done us a great injustice (is that even a word?)

Well!??! Fox, you have a LOT of explaining to do!!

You give us one of the most powerful scenes EVER and you finish with Jack looking solemn, and a god damn TICKING CLOCK!?
You better fix that on the dvd's or there shall be hell to pay!
I've already edited my copy to have a silent clock and it's much better.

Well thats my one annoyance out of the way. Other than that, it was a pretty great episode, especially Chloes 'freaking out' comments. God I love that girl!

Next week holds a big surprise at the end (yeah, I look at the spoilers, so sue me) but I'm wondering how the rest of the season is gonna play out after next episode, it's gonna be a tough one.

Great to see Palmer roar back into action without hesitation, and thank god for Aaron Peirce, hes a great man.

Well I know I'm like 2 days late in posting this, but I'm a busy lad, so here we go anyways.

It has been reported over at TvGuide.com that we have a signed a regular for next season, and that regular is mi amor Chloe!

I'm still not keen on Season 5, but at least we shall have Chloe to google at.

So that last episode was pretty cool, although I'm fucking sick of Marwan always getting away!!
Chloe with a gun was just brilliant, and the screams Chloe was making were hilarious!.

Ok, now that Season 5 is pretty much confirmed, I have a bone to pick!

I think that Jack Bauer has had enough bad days, lets shift the focus away from him please.
I would LOVE it if we started with a different place, not a CTU of any kind, but maybe a police kind of setting where they have 24 hours to track down a killer, then half way through the season, have them realize that it all ties into a terrorist plot, THEN bring CTU into it.
Speaking of that, they could say, 14 episodes in, have the branch of CTU bring in a specialist, and have it revealed to then be Jack Bauer, it would make the season a LOT more interesting and different.
I'm thinking of a New York setting or something.

Even if this doesn't happen, (which it won't) lets have a direct to dvd spin off of something similar please?

24 Talk: Bang bang, you shot me down...

So last nights episode was ok, I don't think it was exactly the 'big twist' everybody was wanting/expecting, but it still was pretty cool. I loved the little bit where it showed Keeler looking very stern when the explosion took place outside the plane.

Paul is paralyzed now huh? So I guess that means Audrey will be looking after him. I expect a climactic moment in episode 23 or 24 where Audrey is forced to choose between Jack and Paul.

This episode it seemed as if Chloe cranked the awkwardness up one notch, I cringed when she said "It means you will have to have the funeral without the body.........of your mother." Well duh.

Next week we see the return of a personal favourite of mine, Mr. Mike Novick, the son of a bitch who betrayed Palmer in Season 2 (mind you, I think the only person that DIDN'T betray Palmer in Season 2 was Lynne).
That reminds me, I would love to see Lynne back in some capacity, whether it be as an aide to Palmer, or something better. However, something tells me she is dead.

24 Talk: Seasonal Changes

Does anybody else feeling this season is lacking something? I mean seriously, Day 1 had me captivated, Day 2 had me on the edge of my seat, Day 3 had me doing another cliche, but Day 4 has me pretty well...bored.

Mabye its because we have come to expect the unexpected on these things, mabye its all these new faces, but something has got me bored. There has only been one episode this season when I was hanging on every word, and that was episode 13. Can't do much wrong with that episode, but the rest have been crap.

Give me my Day 3 any day.

24 Talk: Chloe, we would be lost without you.

Oh, oh, it brought a tear to the eye to see Chloe back. AND we got to see where Chloe lives, it was like my fantasy episode! (Actually, my fantasy episode would involve Chloe, Kim, Mandy, Jane Saunders, Bridget, myself, and a hot tub.

But oh lets bask in the greatness that is Chloe. You can tell she was commited to her job, after all she must only live 5 minutes or so away from CTU! ; )

Other than my queen returning to her throne, it was a pretty damn good episode. I'm loving the ending with Dina and Jack. The real question now is.....Is Dina dead. I'm thinking that somehow it could all be one big setup. But thats just me.

I guess by now everyone realizes that Audrey is going to go back to Paul (if he survives) which will once again leave Jack with a broken heart. (DON'T YOU DARE TRY AND TAKE MY CHLOE YOU BASTARD, I WILL TRACK YOU DOWN AND KILL YOU WITH A RATHER LARGE STICK)

So anyways, the reason I spent $11000 yesterday, was because I'm doing a Dimploma in Digital Animation, and I need a new computer. Computers are expensive and make me weep with thier expensive ways :(
So while I'm paying this metal monstrosity off (Powermac G5 and 23" Apple Cinema Display care of www.apple.co.nz) AND paying rent, AND paying petrol, I have to save for this trip (looks like I'm not going to be flying first class!)

Well I've got this nice dream, but I need a plan to achieve this!!
So from now on, I wil be updating my savings for the trip to the US.

Current Trip Savings: $23

So obviously, this is gonna take a while. The processes will be as follows:
Step 1: Start Saving
Step 2: Keep Saving
Step 3: Get a list of Mary Lynn Rajskub's stand up comedy locations and times
Step 4: Continue to save.
Step 5: Find the Cheapest hotel closest to the comedy club where MLR shall be performing
Step 6: Book said hotel, and buy a plane ticket.
Step 7: Once in LA, make my way to the hotel, and overcome jetlag
Step 8: Go to one of the performances
Step 9: Wait until after the show, and then make my move... :)

Right now, I'm at step 1.
